Even something as simple as a can opener can be really helpful in a situation like this. So they are asking people to donate foil pans, tin foil, and other disposable cooking utensils. The people receiving these turkeys and food likely have no way of preparing it. If you can't afford to give a turkey or other Thanksgiving foods, they still could use some help. The Valley House also acts as a very small food bank. If they still have any leftovers, they will transfer it to the food bags that they hand out each month. There are less than 100 people who need help there. After that, any extra turkeys will go towards The Twin Falls Housing Authority which also helps those in tough spots with affordable housing. ![]() There are about 170 families that they are feeding for the holiday. Those who are in need of affordable housing until they get out of a bad situation. ![]() Where Are All These Turkeys Going To End Up?įirst and foremost, they are going to the people that live under the Valley House umbrella.
